A trip to Stirling, Scotland, with Flat Johnny, March 2004
We took a trip to Stirling, Scotland, to entertain our visiting friend, Flat Johnny. A spin off from the
Flat Stanley stories where a young boy is flattened by a bookshelf and is then sent to visit friends and family through the mail, Flat Johnny came to Scotland via the post office, folded in a standard size envelope as part of a school project for the Cle Elum/Roslyn
elementary school's 3rd grade project. It's not the first time a student
from the school has mailed themselves to the UK, and likely won't be the
last!
